Nintendo has revealed the casting for two key roles in the upcoming Legend of Zelda movie.
Who is playing Zelda in the live action movie?
The first casting reveal was the role of Princess Zelda and that will be played by actress Bo Bragason.
Of the two casting reveals, she is the lesser-known of the two to North American audiences. The 21-year-old is best known for her work on the Disney+ series Renegade Nell, but she's also worked on addtitional projects for the BBC.
Who is playing Link in the live action movie?
The actor playing Link is Benjamin Evan Ainsworth. While you may not recognize his name, maybe you'll remember him starring alongside Tom Hanks in the live action Pinnochio? Or perhaps for his role in the spooky Netflix series Bly Manor where he played one of the residents of that haunted estate.
When does the live action Zelda Movie come out?

The live action Zelda movie is set to release in theatres May 7, 2027.
After initally having a March release, Nintendo revealed that the film would be pushed back by a few months. It's now scheduled to hit big screens May 7, 2027. But plot details, including which game(s) this film will take inspiration from have yet to be revealed.
