If you've been following the journey of the Clicks Communicator, you know it's one of the most talked-about smartphones of 2026. It's a device built specifically for people who actually want to talk and do rather than just scroll through social feeds all day.
Today, the team at Clicks announced that this communication powerhouse is getting a lot more accessible for users around the world.
Typing in Your Native Tongue
One of the biggest hurdles for any physical keyboard phone is supporting different languages. It's hard enough to cram a full keyboard onto a phone, but it's even harder when you need to rearrange those keys for different regions.
Clicks is solving that by introducing four new localized keyboard layouts:
- French (AZERTY)
- German (QWERTZ)
- Korean
- Arabic
This is a huge deal for users in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia who have been waiting for a modern way to get that tactile, BlackBerry-style typing experience in their own language.
More Than Just a Pretty Keyboard
While the new layouts are the headline news, Clicks also gave us a peek under the hood at what's powering the Communicator. It will use the Dimensity 8300 platform.
Communicator Q&A with Clicks Founder.
If you aren't a chip expert, think of this like upgrading the engine in your car (it ensures that everything from multitasking to sending a quick email feels "instant" and responsive). Clicks says they chose this specific platform so the phone doesn't just work great today, but stays fast for years to come.
Speaking of "years to come," they've committed to a long software runway, with support planned all the way through Android 20 and five years of security updates. In the world of tech, that's a massive commitment to longevity.
Lock in Your Early Bird Special
Because the response to the initial announcement was so strong, Clicks is extending the Early Bird pricing window until March 15.
The Communicator will eventually retail for $499 USD, but if you jump in now, you can lock it in for $399 USD. Plus, if you pay in full during the reservation period, they're throwing in two additional back covers for free (this phone allows you to swap out the back plate for different looks so you can go from "day to night" just like the 90s fashion and lifestyle magazines told us we'd need to do as adults).
The phone comes in three colors: Smoke, Clover, and Onyx, and it's expected to start shipping later this year.
Clicks Communicator
The Clicks Communicator is smartphone that was designed for intentional, focused work. It can be used as a daily driver for those pounding out frequent emails or writing in documnets, or you can swap the SIM between this phone and another for better work/life balnce.
