If you've been looking for a way to carry a dual-monitor setup in your backpack without the extra bulk, the wait is over. ASUS has officially opened pre-orders for the Zenbook DUO (2026) in Canada, and it looks like they've fixed almost every nitpick from previous versions.
As we noted in our review this dual-screen laptop from Asus is the ultimate productivity machine and "fixes" many of the small complaints about the 2025 edition (which honestly was excellent).
Whether you want a traditional laptop feel or a giant vertical workspace, this new model is more polished, more powerful, and ready to ship on April 8, 2026.
Dual Screens That Actually Feel Like One
The star of the show is, of course, the dual 14-inch 3K ASUS Lumina Pro OLED touchscreens. While previous models had a noticeable "seam" between the displays, ASUS has managed to shrink that gap by 70%.
Here is why these screens are a big deal:
- 144Hz Refresh Rate: Most standard laptops are 60Hz. This higher number means motion looks incredibly smooth, whether you're scrolling through a long document or watching a video.
- 1000 Nits Brightness: "Nits" is just a fancy way to measure brightness. At 1000, these screens are bright enough to use comfortably even if you're sitting near a sunny window.
Tougher Than It Looks
Despite having two screens, the Zenbook DUO is built to travel. It features a full Ceraluminum chassis. Think of this as a high-tech ceramic-aluminum hybrid—it's designed to be incredibly scratch-resistant and durable while keeping the weight down to just 1.65kg (about the weight of three loaves of bread).
Pro-Level Power and "Plane-Friendly" Battery
Under the hood, you're getting some of the latest tech from Intel, specifically the Core Ultra X9 processor. ASUS has also upgraded the battery to a 99Wh (Watt-hour) capacity. In simple terms, 99Wh is the largest battery size generally allowed by airlines for travel, so you're getting the maximum possible "juice" for those long flights or coffee shop sessions.
Which Model Is Right for You?
ASUS is launching two main versions in Canada, both available through the ASUS Store and Best Buy.
| Feature | The Pro Choice | The Ultimate Powerhouse |

| Ram | 32GB | 32GB |
| Storage | 1TB SSD | 1TB SSD |
| Price | C$2,899 | C$3,199 |
More Than Just a Laptop
One of my favorite refinements is the keyboard docking system. It uses retractable pins to make snapping the physical keyboard onto the screen effortless. When you don't need the second screen, it looks and feels like a standard, premium laptop.

Geeking Out Shop
The 2026 version of the Zenbook duo improves the small flaws from 2025's model making this a very compelling laptop to buy. While it is very expensive, if you're a person who benefits from dual screen productivity and are wanting to invest in a quality piece of equipment you'll enjoy using for years, the Zenbook Duo (2026) is a great choice.
ASUS also packed in a six-speaker audio system, making it a great device for catching up on shows when you finally close your spreadsheets for the day.
For anyone who is frequently working on the go and has the budget to spend on a premium price tag in exchange for a premium computing experience, the Asus Zenbook Duo (2026) is one of the most refined options you can buy to enjoy for years to come.

ASUS Zenbook Duo (2026) Review: The Ultimate Dual-Screen Workstation
We've all dealt with "screen claustrophobia." You're at a coffee shop or on a flight, trying to balance a document or browser on one half of your screen while squinting at a spreadsheet on the other. Maybe it's more of a problem with elder millennials like myself, but I feel like "big work" needs to be done on "big screens" so while I love how far we've come with being able to work...
ASUS has a stacked laptop line-up for 2026
ASUS does a stellar job of having just enough variety in their laptop line-up to make sure that a variety of users have the one that feels just right. 2026 refines some of the best in the existing line-up (while adding a few new pieces).
