Get ready. Google just announced three exciting updates coming to Android and Pixel.

1. Get ready to have Gemini on your smartwatch

Over the coming weeks, Gemini is rolling out to Wear OS watches, making the smart assistant available right on your wrist.

The update will allow users to manage tasks and access information without having to take out their phone.

This is great because, once you enable permissions, Gemini can tap into your Google services, which means you can ask it to do things for you on-the-fly such as:

  • Add upcoming events (like your kids' soccer games) to your calendar.
  • Remind you which parking spot you left your car in, so you're not stuck searching for hours, like on that episode of Seinfeld.
  • Summarize your most recent email from a specific person before you head into a meeting.
  • Create a playlist for a specific length of workout you're about to start.

The update will see Gemini on watches including those from Pixel, Samsung, OnePlus, OPPO, and Xiamomi.

2. Get gaming help with Circle to Search

Ever needed help identifying a character or settling on a strategy while gaming? Starting today, you'll now be able to get in-the-moment help when you're gaming on mobile, thanks to the introduction of gaming help in Circle to Search.

After you activate Circle to Search, simply circle or tap to get an AI overview with details about what's on your screen, including tips timestamped to your exact spot in the game or videos that can help you get unstuck and get back to the action.

3. Get a full year subscription to Google AI Pro

In a surprise drop, Pixel 9 Pro owners will be getting a full year subscription to Google AI Pro at no cost.

This will give them access to the latest features offered in the Gemini app, including Veo 3, which is able to take a user's idea and photos and transform them into a high-quality, short video, complete with motion and audio.
